I. Traffic Information

1. Arrive by Train

(1) Hohhot Railway Station to Inner Mongolia University (IMU) Headquarters

Line 1: Take Bus No.34/18/37 at Hohhot East Railway Station and get off at Inner Mongolia University Station

Line 2: Take a taxi from Hohhot Railway Station to IMU

Line 3: Take Subway Line 2 to Daxue West Road Station, then transfer to Bus No.98 /56/62 and get off at Inner Mongolia University Station

(2) Hohhot East Railway Station to IMU Headquarters

Line 1: Take Bus No.16/66 at Hohhot East Railway Station and get off at Inner Mongolia University Station

Line 2: Take a taxi from Hohhot East Railway Station to IMU

Line 3: Take Subway Line 1 to Inner Mongolia Exhibition Hall, and then transfer to Bus No.53/66 to Inner Mongolia University Station

Ⅱ. Arrive by Plane

Line 1: Take Bus No.97 from Hohhot Baita International Airport to Ruyi Square Station and transfer to Bus No.53 to Inner Mongolia University Station.

Line 2: Take a taxi from Hohhot Baita International Airport to IMU

Line 3: Take the airport shuttle bus at Hohhot Baita International Airport, get off at Drum Tower, transfer to Bus No.K4 or Bus No.62, and arrive at the East Gate of IMU

Line 4: Take Subway Line 1 to Dongying Road Station and walk to Changle Palace Bus Station. Then take Bus No.53 to Inner Mongolia University Bus Station

II. Registration and Enrollment Address

International Student Apartment Building A, SIE of Inner Mongolia University, No. 235, Daxue West Road, Saihan District, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China

III. Enrollment Procedures

1. Fill in the Registration and Enrollment Form for International Students of Inner Mongolia University (it is recommended that students complete it in advance and submit the electronic version).

2. Bring the following materials to the International Student Office:

Valid passports

JW201/202 Form

Graduation certificates

Transcripts

Admission Letter of IMU

Electronic photo and one-inch photos (no fewer than five).

Proof of Insurance Purchase (self-financed students shall log in to Student Insurance China (lxbx.net) to purchase insurance in advance).

3. Go to Room 101 to complete course-related procedures (degree students shall also register at their respective hosting colleges).

4. Go to Room 111 to pay tuition and accommodation fees, and complete the filing process.

5. Visit the National Physical Examination Center for a health examination and submit the results to the International Students Office.

6. Open a bank account and submit the account opening receipt to the International Students Office.

7. Go to the Daxue West Road Police Station to register for a Foreigner’s Residence Certificate.

8. Students with X1 visas shall go to the Hohhot Entry-Exit Administration Bureau to apply for a residence permit.

9. Obtain a campus card and activate the campus internet access.
